The inevitable force of moving forward.

The inevitable force of moving forward.
This past weekend I moved from my old small studio to my new one by Skanstull in Södermalm. It's twice the size of the old one and I am thrown between the worry that it is still too small, and the realisation that it is actually quite big for just one person. Granted I'll have my partner in crime, journalist and stylist Emma right next door, but still. Me and my friends spent Saturday furnishing it, and today I had a shoot booked - just to try it out and to get a feel for the place. I'm still working on where I want this to be placed for maximum efficiency of space and process, so it was really a good thing to get to test it all out. I know more now about how I want to work with the space, and what my workflow will look like. I've concentrated very hard on making the studio highly compatible for every member of my team as well, so that the makeup artist and stylist will have equally great experiences while working with me. I think I'll write about that in a later post about the studio though, when it's more finished. Anyways, I got to photograph the stunning model Julia R, and one of my favourite team members Loiz did the hair and makeup. I styled the shoot myself as it was for my own portfolio, and I really loved the way it all turned out. Will show you more when I get the photos back from the retouchers'. - Emily
